Antique Sandstone Bodhisattva Statue

Marvelous antique statue of a bodhisattva. With a serene expression and a crown depicting the Buddha, this figure symbolizes spiritual enlightenment and bears resemblance to some 5th century depictions of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of infinite compassion. Not only a beautiful work of art, but one of religious and historical significance. This statue is relatively heavy and not freestanding.
