A full-zip Buffalo-style thermal softie in Black from Battalion, Raid Supply's own brand. Same garment as the issued PCS Lightweight Thermal Smock – windproof nylon outer, soft insulating inner, high fleece-lined collar, chest and diagonal hand pockets – but with a full-length front zip instead of the half-zip pullover, so it goes on and comes off over everything without pulling it over your head. Wear it as a warm mid layer under a waterproof shell, or on its own in dry cold for static duty, cold camps, winter airsoft and milsim, hunting hides and long days outside in the British winter. Same softie, same pockets, same collar. This one has a full-length zip instead of a half-zip, so it opens fully like a jacket. Is it waterproof? The shell is water-repellent and windproof, not fully waterproof. In sustained rain wear a waterproof shell over the top. How warm is it? A mid-weight softie layer. Warm enough on its own for stops and static work in dry cold, and the ideal layer under a Gore-Tex shell when it turns wet. Which size should I order? Order your normal jacket size.
