Abuta Bark Spagyric Tincture

Our Amazonian Abuta Bark Spagyric Tincture is made from Ethically Wildharvested Abuta grandifolia Bark and tinctured with Organic Cane Spirits as our Veg Mercury. Once the tincture is made, we add Spagyric Salt of Salt of the Vegetable Kingdom and digest until reactions have stopped. Amazonian Abuta Bark (Abuta grandifolia) is a traditional botanical native to the tropical forests of South America and has a long history of use throughout Amazonian traditional medicine, particularly in Peru and Brazil. Also known simply as Abuta, this member of the Menispermaceae family is a woody tropical vine whose bark, roots, stems, and leaves have all been incorporated into traditional preparations. Abuta is characteristically very bitter and has traditionally been prepared as a decoction, infusion, or alcoholic maceration. Historically, Abuta has been used for menstrual discomfort and dysmenorrhea, rheumatism and arthritis, back pain, stomach and digestive complaints, anemia, fever, physical weakness and recovery, and traditionally for diabetes and “blood cleansing.” It also has a history of use surrounding female reproductive health, including infertility and abnormal bleeding, while other traditional preparations have been used as an aphrodisiac and general restorative. We make no claims as to the uses or efficacy of this product. There may be an enormous difference between what the herb has historically been used for and how any particular Spagyric Preparation of the herb can be used.
