LV-5596 Buckeye Burl & Mun Ebony Threaded Container, Jewelry Box, Lidded Jar

This is a unique box made out of Mun Ebony (Diospyros mun) with California Buckeye Burl (Aesculus californica) cap. The burly buckeye cap is exceptionally pretty. It looks like a piece of marble with the grayish coloration and swirly grain. Anything other than a dark wood will distract from this beauty, so I paired it with the Mun ebony, a wood that I only use sparingly. It was worth it! A lidded box is nice, but a threaded box is something special. The screw-on cap ensures that your content is secured. It is a beautiful decorative item as well as functional.
