Grass, Mexican Feather Grass

Mexican Feather Grass is a clump-forming native grass grown for its foliage and sways in the slightest wind. The light silvery-green foliage is coupled with airy stems of white flowers in the summer that brown in fall with the foliage. Grows best in full sun and well-drained soils. Treat Mexican Feather Grass as an annual if temperatures reach below 20 in winter. Type: Orn. May go dormant in drought or cold winters. Well-drained soils essential to avoid rot and mildew, heave mulch can also induce rot. Do not cut back after winter unless treated as annual.
