It comes with a black lacquered lid and an inscribed wooden storage box (tomobako). The cylindrical body features distinct horizontal ribbed textures created during the wheel-throwing process. It is partially covered in a reddish-brown glaze, leaving the lower section unglazed to reveal the natural clay texture. An incised artist's mark is present on the base.
