Sierra Gold Daylily
Sierra Gold Daylily 'Sierra Gold' daylily is a treasure. Huge 6" bright gold blooms with lightly ruffled edges are held on tall scapes well over 2' in our East Tennessee garden. Nice rebloom makes this bold beauty extra special. No way you can ignore these! As an early to mid season bloomer, we typically see the stunning blooms of Sierra Gold around the first of June here on our zone 7 farm. If you are to the north of us, you can expect to see it bloom a bit later. Those of you to our south will see it a couple weeks before we do. Good rebloom means you'll see these bright bursts of color off and on in your garden throughout the season. Sierra Gold is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained cold period in the winter—like those in planting zones 8 and lower. Brilliant gold blooms are gorgeous en masse but also look stunning when planted with lavender or dark purple. When planted with near white daylilies it looks so elegant. Plant it with red, orange or hot pink if you want to add some extra spice to your summer garden. You cannot go wrong with Sierra Gold! Sierra Gold is a reblooming daylily. • See our Top 20 Reblooming Daylilies • Visit our YouTube channel to see all our videos on daylilies.
