With this devotional vocabulary as our focus, we craft each piece with silver-foiled stones for shine, brass to hold them together and gold plated all over to make devotional Indian art available beyond the temple wall as accessible luxury. The Pichwai tradition began in 17th-century Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Painted cloth panels hung behind Shrinathji in the temple, depicting his daily darshan, the seasons of Braj, and the lotus, peacock, cow, and gopi motifs that have become the visual signature of the tradition. Mortantra's Pichwai Inspired jewellery translates that visual vocabulary into wearable form, with gold-plated metalwork holding the miniature at the centre. THE PIECE A single strand alternating cream pearls and maroon oval beads on gold links, carrying a square gold-plated pendant. Worked in antique-finish thappa metalwork around a toran arch, it frames a Ganesha miniature panel, finished with five small pearl drops along the lower edge.
