Common Strawberry – PLUG

Low native groundcover, typically 4-6 in. tall, spreading by runners to form dense mats. Host plant for dozens of butterflies and moths, with fruit eaten by birds and small mammals. Grows in sun to light shade and average to dry soils, where it functions as a living mulch and turf alternative. May spread aggressively in favorable conditions.
