Kokuto (Okinawa Black Sugar) & Kinako (Roasted Soybean) Sesame Crunch Snack 16g × 3
Highlights Made with authentic black sugar from Okinawa Rich nuttiness and crunch of peanuts and black sesame seeds Flavored with sweet and earthy kinako (roasted soybean flour) Kokuto (lit. “black sugar”) is a regional specialty from Okinawa, Japan’s southernmost tropical islands. It is made from 100% local sugarcane juice, has a rich licorice flavor with hints of caramel and toffee. Currently, only about 5% of sugarcane is used to make kokuto, with only eight islands in Okinawa manufacturing pure kokuto. Inspired by tropical island flavors and unique regional specialties, Okinawa Pioneer Foods combines the licorice flavors of kokuto with the toasted, nutty flavors of domestic black sesame seeds and kinako (roasted soybean powder) to create this sweet and crunchy local treat.
