9mm Cord BIG CORD

The thick 9mm cotton BIG CORD is the largest member of our cord family. This soft cord with a polyester core is ideal for large crochet or knitting projects, including Moses baskets, large baskets, mats, rugs and bags. We make all our cotton cords from recycled cotton originating in the EU in our family workshop in Pezinok, Slovakia. • Composition: 80% cotton and 20% polyester • Thickness: 9 mm • Weight: approximately 1,000 g (+/- 5%) • Length: 100 m • Recommended hook size / knitting needle size: 10–16 mm. When crocheting around a wooden basket base with 1 cm holes, first use a 6 mm hook and then continue with a larger hook. The finished product can be hand-washed using a sponge and laundry soap. For heavier soiling, it can also be machine-washed at 30–40°C on a low spin cycle and left to air-dry. Please note: colours may vary slightly between production batches.
