Cyanotype for Good: In Person Workshop benefitting Mid-South Immigration Advocates

Come learn a new skill, help us raise money to support Mid-South Immigration Advocates and connect with other Memphians who care about the rights of immigrants and migrants in our city. During this 90 minute workshop, you will learn to use sunlight and fresh botanicals to create a protest sign. We'll be using the cyanotype process (a light-sensitive technique that produces beautiful blue impressions of flowers, leaves, and stems). In this workshop, we'll walk you through the process start to finish, and you'll leave with a completed sign. This workshop will take place on Saturday, August 1st at 2 pm in midtown (the exact address will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event). Your ticket price includes all materials and your completed sign to take home. In addition, for every ticket sold we will donate $25 to support Mid-South Immigration Advocates. Note: If you'd like us to donate more than $25, you can leave a tip at checkout. We'll donate that amount to Mid-South Immigration Advocates. (ie. if you tip $10, we'll donate an additional $10 to MIA). Children: this workshop is appropriate for all ages, but we do require children (or anyone else coming with you) to have their own ticket. Children must also be accompanied by an adult, aged 18 or older. Rain date: this workshop requires sunlight. In case of rain, we will move the workshop to Sunday, August 2nd. If you aren't able to make the rain date, you'll receive the choice of either a DIY kit with detailed instructions.
