Vaughn Bode Collection

A collection of Vaughn Bode comics. 6 in total. PLEASE NOTE: These comics covers have been laminated by a previous owner causing the covers to curl and each comic has some degree of moisture damage causing staining and rippling. Vaughn Bodē’s Junkwaffel is a classic piece of American underground comix, originally published by The Print Mint in the early 1970s. Bodē’s wonderfully strange universe mixes absurdist humour, anthropomorphic lizards, sci-fi, sex, fantasy and countercultural satire, all rendered in his instantly recognisable loose, flowing linework. The original series ran for four issues from 1971 onward, with a fifth issue later published by Last Gasp, and the comics became an important part of Bodē’s short but hugely influential career.
