A George II Silver Armorial Waiter. Of Shaped Circular Form with a Scroll and Husk Border. Raised on Three Hoof Feet. Provenance: Halsdon House, The Collection of Charlie & Shirley Watts. Charlie Watts was the Rolling Stones drummer. Hallmarked for London 1753 by William Justis. Approximate weight is 309 grams or 9.9 troy ounces. Approximate dimensions are 20 cm diameter and 3.1 cm height. In good condition with age related surface wear. There have been some silver solder repairs to the underside, as per the last three photos. All of the repairs appear to be stable and of some considerable age. The waiter stands flat.
