Tagetes lemmonii

Often referred to as The Mountain or Mexican Marigold , whatever you choose to call it , this is a super plant for the winter garden . In addition to the masses of vibrant yellow flowers this plant provides ,the foliage is also deliciously scented with hints of fruits such as Passionfruit. Flowers appear in Autumn and Winter . Will reach around 1.5 metres in height , we suggest a cut back every couple of years to maintain a tidy appearance. An excellent plant to grow near the vegetable patch as Tagetes will deter many flying insect pests such as whitefly and white butterfly.
