From the early sketchbook of reknown Oregon artist Max Allara. Circa 1930s in charcoal pencil. Simple and stunning female form in an offering stance. Presented under glass in an antique gold leafed wood frame. 22 x 16" Max Allara (1906-1981) Italian born Oregon photographer who is featured in the Portland Art Museum. Made the majority of his work during the 40s and 50s. These nude sketches predate his photography, acting as a learning tool for his later work.
