DIY Dream Pop blends bedroom pop and shoegaze haze with DIY experimentation into a soft, melodic, and understated collection. Chorus-soaked guitars, hazy basslines, and sun-faded vocals drift through loose, human drum grooves and pedal-soaked synth textures. A played, not programmed sound that embraces raw imperfections alongside polished production, with an emphasis on taste and feel over perfection. Created by Dokkodo Sounds and featuring vocals by bedroom pop artist HEIGHTS, the pack draws from artists like Night Tapes and Men I Trust. Recorded across live sessions, it centres around post-punk guitars, acoustic layers, analogue synths, and funk-driven basslines. Live vintage drums and percussion bring an organic feel with expressive rhythms and fills, alongside drum machine-style hits and loops built from the live recordings. Vocals remain intimate, close, and airy, delivered as wet and dry hooks, phrases, and adlibs. Shaped using pedals like the Chroma Console and Microcosm, with tape-style resampling adding drift, saturation, and warmth, the result is a soft-focus sound rooted in modern dream pop, with samples ready to be reshaped into your own style.
