Pastinaca sativa Half long variety | 120 days to maturity Parsnips to us are a true culinary treat, though we have been hesitant to grow them because of how hard they are to dig in our heavy clay soils. The Halblange Weisse SE parsnip has changed that. It is a true half long type, where the majority of the mass concentrated at the top of the root. The broad shoulders of this variety have made it much easier to dig. This variety came to us from Adaptive Seeds who received it from the German Biodynamic seed company Binganheimer Saatgut.
