Identity Vacheron Constantin Asymétrique Modèle 1972 White Gold Ref. 25021, 2000s. Quartz movement. 18-carat white gold case, 23 × 31 mm, asymmetric architecture based on the proportions of the golden section, crown signed with the Maltese cross. Mother-of-pearl dial, large black Roman numerals whose tilt follows the geometry of the case, dauphine hands. Sapphire crystal. New Vacheron Constantin black alligator strap and asymmetric white gold pin buckle signed with the Maltese cross. Horological context Vacheron Constantin unveiled the Modèle 1972 on 23 June 1972 at the Hôtel Ritz in Paris, on the occasion of being awarded the Diplôme du Prestige de la France, of which the Geneva manufacture was the first watchmaker to be honoured. The piece was conceived to mark the event: an asymmetric case whose proportions follow the golden section, and a dial on which the Roman numerals tilt to match the angles of the quadrilateral. The silhouette went on to take a place in the maison's catalogue, lending its name to the 1972 collection — produced over the decades in white gold, yellow gold and rose gold, in ladies' and men's sizes. Ref. 25021 is the lady version in 18-carat white gold with quartz movement, faithful to the original silhouette and signed with the Maltese cross on the crown and buckle. Character Lady 23 × 31 mm format in 18-carat white gold, mother-of-pearl dial with large Roman numerals. New Vacheron Constantin alligator strap. Watch serviced. Excellent condition. Delivered with the manufacturer's box and Contre-Temps two-year warranty.
