Nerikomi Utensil Holder

Speckled clay is the background for this earth toned utensil crock. Layers of colored porcelain clay were stacked together to create the nerikomi pattern. I took thin slices of the cane and inlaid them into speckled clay. The slab of inlaid clay was handbuilt into a cylinder ideal for holding utensils, plants or flowers. The inside has been glazed white. This pot stands 5" tall and 4" wide.
