Song of the Andes Peruvian Quena Flute Wood w/Case
This instrument keeps ancient musical traditions alive. It was made according to traditional techniques and retains a traditional sound. Jacaranda wood lends its extraordinary beauty to this quena flute. Crafted by hand, it is a legacy of the Inca, an indispensable instrument in today's traditional Peruvian music. Benito Tito perforates holes of different widths to ensure a sweet sound and tunes it to 440 in the key of F#. The mouthpiece is carved from cow bone and its case emulates pre-Hispanic textiles. Each item is handmade by the artisan's partners in Peru. Due to the handmade nature, small variations in color, shape, pattern, or other characteristics may be evident. Multi-Color cases will vary. Each piece should be considered a truly unique work of art, lovingly crafted by hand.
