The front camera records the road ahead through the windshield, and the rear camera records the road behind the vehicle. No cabin, no passengers, no privacy concerns. Will it record in complete darkness? + Yes. The F2.0 aperture is specifically designed to capture maximum light in low-visibility conditions. License plates, road markings and vehicle details remain clearly visible in footage taken at night or in dark parking structures. This is one of the key differences between the Sentinel and cheaper alternatives. What happens to footage from an accident? + The G-sensor detects emergency braking or impact and instantly saves and locks that segment of footage. Locked files are permanently protected from being overwritten by loop recording — they remain on your TF card until you manually choose to delete them. Your collision evidence is always preserved. Does it need to be on for parking monitoring to work? + For 24H parking monitoring, the Sentinel requires a hardwire connection to a constant power source in your vehicle. When hardwired, the camera stays in low-power standby mode and activates instantly when motion or impact is detected. Without hardwiring it will only record while the ignition is on. Is a TF card included? + No, a TF card is not included. The Sentinel supports Class 10 or higher TF cards from any major brand up to 128GB. We recommend a 64GB or 128GB card for extended recording. Loop recording ensures the card never fills up by automatically overwriting the oldest footage. How do I view my footage? + You can review footage three ways: wirelessly via the Viidure app on your iPhone or Android phone, directly on the Sentinel's 1.3" screen, or by removing the TF card and viewing footage on your computer.
