8 – The Waisted Dress in Silk Matka Long Skirted Summer Dress with Three Quarter Length Sleeves in Size 8 Our Downing Dress is elegant and easy to wear. While it stands on its own beautifully, it is cleverly designed to sit perfectly under our Downing coats. It is designed to fall to mid-low calf length, just shy of the coat length, and has a waisted, skirted shape. It is fully lined in silk. The sleeves reach a few inches below the elbow and have a slitted fold back cuff detail. Darted pleats to front and rear created a superbly flattering shape that is at once elegant and easy to wear. The Fabric Silk Matka is a linen-like silk that is light, cool and elegant. The weave is linen-like, but Matka creases far less than linen. This is a buttery raffia like colour that is light and elegant and very easy to coordinate.
