REVIT Pioneer GTX Boots

REVIT's mid-height Pioneer GTX boot offers a great option for all-day rides, scrambling around on or off the bike, and easy-peasy ingress and egress thanks to the brilliant BOA fast-lace system. The Pioneer gets ample ankle armor, a sturdy Vibram sole, a rubber-reinforced toe and heel counter, and a brushed leather upper with a full Gore-Tex membrane for true waterproof performance. While it obviously doesn't have the same level of support and protection as its taller sibling, the REVIT Discovery GTX, or a hinged ADV option, like the Sidi Adventure 2 GTX, this Pioneer boot is just easier to wear. And for its size, it's one of the more supportive and protective mid-height boots we've seen. It'll fit under most jeans, and is downright hike able, and is comforatble while walking or riding. *Note: shown here with the Spidi Dyneema Evo AAA jeans. REVIT even specs their own sole on this book, having collaborated with Vibram to come up with this "Apex" pattern, has a soft, vibration-absorbing durometer and tread designed for maximum grip. The protective reinforcements at the heel, toes, and ankles combined with abrasion-resistant outer materials allow this boot to provide a lot of safety without sacrificing any comfort. And while the BOA contributes to an overall light weight boots for its size, we really dig the BOA because it makes such short work of the mundane task of getting into and out of one's riding boots. And unlike the worst boot you could ever ride a motorcycle in, but that we see all the time: a paddock boot like a Blundstone (famously fast to get in/out of) -- this one offers light-years more protection, and when cinched down delivers a more secure fit than any lace-up boot. And all that in the same time it takes to slip on a Blundstone. This boot comes in any color you want as long as it's black, and is worth a look for anyone looking for what's one of the best mid-height boots we've seen.
