Collet Stem (original stock)

For Collectors! I have one of each dug up from the deepest corners of the machine shop that made them over 15 years ago. SPECS Made of 7075 T6 CNC machined aluminum collet steertube clamp smooth and compact design made by high tech 3D surface contour CNC machining SIZE Length 53mm Rise: 25mm Stack height 30mm COLORS Black, Blue, Red, Gold, or Raw WEIGHT 8.1oz/229g WHY MAKE THIS PART? I wanted to create a knee friendly stem that worked well and did not damage the steertube on your forks. HOW IS THIS PART DESIGNED SO THAT IT SOLVES THOSE ISSUES? AND WHAT OTHER IMPROVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE? This stem is designed using a collet compression wedge device. When the bolts are tightened the top and bottom of the stem come closer together thus compressing the collet piece around the fork. Since the stem is a unique design it’s important to read the instructions provided so that the stem is installed correctly. By putting the bolts in the middle of the stem I was able to create large radiuses that make this stem very knee friendly. -Sam Schulte Designer/Owner
