Carlo di Carli Side Chair for Singer & Sons, 1950s

Carlo di Carli rare sculptural side chair in walnut with upholstered seat and back, manufactured by Singer & Sons in 1950s. This early example is quite possibly the nicest one out there. It is in stunning, completely original condition. The highly sculptured frame features a soft even patina throughout, and the original bright red wool upholstery is immaculate. On the underside, the chair retains the original hand hammered upholstery tacks and undercloth, as well as both of the original labels which are in perfect condition. This museum quality specimen is likely one of only completely original examples left. the chair is solid and sturdy and ready for use. One of the most beautiful dining chair designs of all time!
