Olympia 1936 Cigarette Card Album: Hardbound volume is part of the two book set documenting both the Berlin Summer and Winter Games. Contains 165 pages with printed text and spaces for the collectible photo cards originally obtained through cigarette purchases. Classic blue cover with black Olympia 1936” title and the Olympic bell emblem. A genuine pre war publication capturing the imagery and atmosphere of the 1936 Games. “Des Führers Soldaten” Portfolio (1940): Very rare WWII propaganda photo portfolio from the PK Mappen series, collections produced by the Propagandakompanien (German Propaganda Companies) during the war. This example is the third installment in the series. Published in 1940 by Graphische Arbeitsgemeinschaft Jupp Daehler, Berlin. Compiled by the Propagandakompanie der Armee Busch to portray the idealized image of the German soldier. Includes 15 matted black and white photographs, attributed to photographer Wilhelm Schaefer. Size is 9.75 x 12.75 inch. A striking and uncommon wartime visual document, originally intended to distribute military themed imagery to the German public.
