SOLÈNE DRAPE CAPE GOWN - SAGE

I designed the Solène gown to create the feeling of effortless elegance through movement rather than structure. The entire silhouette is built around a single draped focal point that gathers at the waist and radiates across the body, creating shape in a way that feels natural and incredibly flattering. The draping was carefully engineered to contour rather than conceal. As the fabric wraps across the bodice and through the waist, it creates visual definition that enhances the silhouette while allowing the gown to skim softly over the body. This approach creates shape without relying on restrictive construction or excessive compression. The cape was designed as an extension of the drape rather than a separate element. Flowing from the shoulder and cascading to the floor, it adds presence, movement, and elegance from every angle. It softens the silhouette while creating a striking sense of fluidity as the wearer moves. I chose this sage tone because it feels calm, sophisticated, and timeless. The softness of the colour enhances every fold and contour of the draping while bringing a quiet luxury to the overall silhouette. For me, Solène is about confidence through ease. It is a gown that creates impact without effort and allows the woman wearing it to feel elegant, comfortable, and completely assured.
