Kit Calvert Wensleydale
A handcrafted cheese offering a rich, creamy texture and buttery flavour, made using a traditional recipe inspired by those once used in farmhouse kitchens around the turn of the 20th century. Named in honour of Kit Calvert MBE — the iconic Yorkshire businessman - who played a key role in rescuing the Creamery from closure in the 1930s — this cheese is made with local milk and unique starter cultures. It’s cloth-bound and naturally matured for approximately 16 weeks to develop its distinctive character. This cheese is made with traditional rennet and is not suitable for vegetarians.
