Level 1: Weaving Explorations – Floor/Table Loom Weaving - November 28 & 29, 2026

In this intimate group class of 5, you will make a magical hand-woven piece to learn all about weaving on a table loom. With a philosophy of freeform exploration inspired by Saori weaving, and unique weaving styles with a range of fibres to play with, students will create a sampler where they can learn from their mistakes, step out of their comfort zone and improve their weaving techniques. This class is very beginner friendly but welcomes weavers of all levels who wish to explore new techniques in a relaxing and encouraging environment. What You’ll Learn How to set up a floor/table loom (warping to tie-up) Plain weave, clasped weft, and basic twill techniques Creative shaping and textural exploration Finishing techniques for a clean wall hanging Class Format This is a two-day workshop: Day One: 9am–4pm (7 hrs) Day Two: 9am–4pm (7 hrs) *Choose your loom type at checkout. Materials Warp: 4/8 cotton yarn (provided) Weft: A variety of textural fibres and yarns will be provided in class Instructor Johana Cordero Prerequisite This is a beginner-friendly class and welcomes weavers of all levels.
