Norlevo

NorLevo is an emergency contraceptive pill manufactured by HRA Pharma. It helps prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure. It is taken as a single-dose tablet, as soon as possible, ideally within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours after the event. NorLevo contains levonorgestrel, a hormone that works mainly by delaying or preventing ovulation and reducing the chance of fertilisation. The earlier it is taken, the more effective it is. NorLevo is a reliable option for emergency contraception, but it should not be used as a regular contraceptive method. It will not work if you are already pregnant. After taking NorLevo, it is important to continue using a regular form of contraception to remain protected in the future.
