100% Solid Cherry Cherry is an American classic that is loved for its elegance and is commonly used in furniture due its durability and strength. COLOR: Unfinished Cherry has natural light pink to golden peach tones that darken to a rich red-brown as it's exposed to sunlight and oxygen. This darkening will slow down over time. The Sapwood (from the outer part of the tree) is light cream and the Heartwood (from the inner part of the tree) is a warm red-pink. GRAIN PATTERN: Closed-grain and mostly straight but can have wavy or curly elements. Often has dark pitch pockets, gum pockets or mineral streaks that add unique character.
