Vintage Silk Tapestry

United States, c. 1980. Abstract handwoven tapestry. Originally part of a larger group of related works, not a fragment. Woven in narrow bands of 2-ply spun silk and hand-joined into a larger field. Steady grid of yarn dyed washed pink, chartreuse, powder, peach, and slate. Intentional soft feathered threads throughout. Slinky weighty handle. Beautiful condition, with one scarce area of discoloration. Velcro hook and loop system already applied to back side.
