Hare (in fur)
Wild British hare, sourced sustainably from East Anglia Whole hare supplied intact, unskinned and unprepared, in full fur Popular for taxidermy, photography, filming and Scout or school bushcraft activities Only available in season: 1st August to 28th February. Dispatched chilled Our hare in fur is supplied whole and completely unprepared, exactly as it arrives from the field. Head, feet and coat all intact, in its full natural state. We select each animal carefully for the condition of its fur, making these specimens well suited to taxidermy, wildlife photography, and film or television work where an authentic, well-presented wild hare is required. Hare in fur is also popular with Scout leaders, Cub groups and outdoor educators looking for a hands-on introduction to bushcraft and where food comes from. Learning to skin and joint a hare connects young people directly to the countryside in a way that is both practical and memorable. Please note: as this hare has not been processed by our butchery, we are unable to undertake our usual quality control checks on the meat. It will arrive with traces of blood on the fur. The vast majority of animals are in excellent condition, but customers purchasing for consumption should be aware that we cannot guarantee meat quality as we would with our oven-ready range.
