Between Two Suns

Oil painting on canvas 59”x39” / 150 x 100cm I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how landscapes can carry emotion in the same way memories do. Between Two Suns came from that idea. The painting is lit by two different light sources - one from the sky and another that feels as though it’s rising from the earth itself. I wanted the whole scene to feel suspended between two opposing energies, almost as if nature was deciding where the light truly belonged. What interests me most is not creating a real place, but creating a place that feels emotionally familiar. Somewhere between memory, cinema, dream logic, and imagination. The trees almost became characters to me while painting them - standing quietly between these two worlds, absorbing light from both directions.
