Vintage French Linen Chore Jacket Type 4
Our chore jacket cut from a cotton and linen métis deadstock cloth woven by Fleur Bleue, a French mill that closed decades ago. This fabric has been in storage since the 1950s, nearly eighty years old and entirely unrepeatable. Type 4 is a natural off-white with the most texture and character of the five — horizontal slubs run through the cloth and scattered neps give it an almost rustic quality that speaks directly to the age and provenance of the fabric. The heaviest of the variants, it will wear like a proper jacket through spring and autumn and develop considerable character over time. Cut with our straight, easy fit with three curved patch pockets. Very limited quantities per size. Blond horn buttons. Cut and sewn in East London.
