MTC Motorsport McLaren GT Decat Downpipes with Heat Shield The downpipes and flanges are machined from SS304 aircraft-grade stainless steel and are a direct fit to the McLaren GT These decats provide a sharper throttle response due to faster spool of the turbo Mandrel-bent for better gas flow and maximum internal size to ensure no loss of mid-range torque There is also a substantial weight saving in comparison to the factory catalytic converter With these installed the car sounds much louder with the sports exhaust and definitely makes it more of an occasion to go out for a drive over the standard very quiet system. The standard heat shields don’t need to be installed with these as they don't hold any heat. We didn’t want to lose the warranty on the rest of the car so we used 2 of our own stainless steel lambda spacers to keep the engine light off and didn’t tune the car. They worked for us fine. They will take around 4 hours to install and the fitment is great. Please contact us if you need a garage to fit these as it an be a difficult job with the rear 1/4 panels off the car.
