Storied Summer: Discipleship and Formation Course

Discipleship & Formation Course for Christian Women Scripture. Stories. Shakespeare. Storied Summer is a five-week discipleship and formation course for Christian women who long to grow in their faith, cultivate richer habits of learning, and enjoy meaningful fellowship with other women. Together, we will spend our summer immersed in Scripture, beautiful stories, and thoughtful discussion as we pursue what is good, true, and beautiful. Through guided readings, live teachings, discussion, and ongoing community, you'll be encouraged to deepen your love for God, grow in wisdom, and cultivate a life shaped by truth and beauty. Whether you're a homeschool mom, a lifelong learner, or simply a woman longing for deeper spiritual formation, this course was designed with you in mind. What We'll Be Studying Scripture We'll spend time reading and discussing God's Word together, learning to see the grand story of redemption woven throughout Scripture. Stories We'll read and discuss beautiful literature that points us toward truth, goodness, and beauty while helping us grow in wisdom and discernment. Shakespeare Together we'll read and discuss A Midsummer Night's Dream, exploring its themes, characters, and storyline. Readings The Book of Genesis The Great Divorce by C.S. Montgomery Course Schedule Kickoff Gathering Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 8:00 PM CST We'll begin our summer together with an introductory gathering, discussing the course, readings, expectations, and how to make the most of our time together. Weekly Gatherings & Discussions Sundays at 8:00 PM CST July 5 July 12 July 19 July 26 August 2 Storied Summer includes one kickoff gathering followed by five weeks of guided reading, discussion, and fellowship. Each week, we'll discuss the assigned readings, reflect together on what we're learning, and encourage one another as we pursue deeper rhythms of discipleship and formation. All sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend live. This gospel-centered course is for Christian women who: Long to grow in their faith Enjoy reading and discussing meaningful books Desire deeper rhythms of learning and discipleship Want meaningful fellowship with other Christian women Believe that formation happens through both Scripture and story Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to attend live? All sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing. You do not need to attend live (though we would love to see you there!). Do I need to finish all the reading? The goal is growth, good discussion, and encouragement. We encourage you to join us even if you didn't finish (or even start!) that week's reading. Is this only for homeschool moms? No. While many participants may homeschool, any Christian woman is welcome. When does the course begin? Our kickoff gathering takes place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 8:00 PM CST.
