Sinuous Channel Snake Band
We love this contemporary take on an antique mainstay, a sweet serpent coiled around your finger - complete with a cascade of diamonds down her back and in her eyes. Textured scales add the the depth and dimension of this lightweight and easy to stack piece. Snakes were a favourite motif of the Victorian era, particularly after Queen Victoria started to sport a coiled snake ring in honour of her engagement to Prince Philip. Representing passion and everlasting love, they are also a good reminder of sloughing off that which no longer fits you, and of being adaptable and open to growth. Very good vintage condition with wear in line with previous use. c1990s. Originally manufactured in the US. Details: • 18k yellow gold, stamped and tested • Size 6 3/8 and can be resized within two sizes • Nine round brilliant diamonds approximately 0.11 carat total weight • Face of ring measures 7.6-10.5mm wide with a rise of 3.8mm; back of band measures 2.1mm wide and 0.8mm thick • 3.4g
