Gibson Hummingbird True Vintage 2012 - Heritage Cherry Sunburst

Here we have a wonderful Gibson Hummingbird TV square shoulder dreadnought acoustic guitar! This one has a heritage cherry sunburst finish and is in excellent condition. Specs include a sitka spruce top, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, rosewood belly bridge, bone nut, bone saddle, Deluxe tuners and parallelogram inlays. It has the iconic cast guard with hand painted hummingbird motif. It has a 24.75” scale length with a 1.725” nut width. This guitar is in excellent shape and does not appear to have been played too much. These True Vintage models have a touch of a VOS quality about the finish right from the factory and this one show a little patina or oxidation commensurate with that technique. There are some light topical marks and topical streaks in the finish which look factory to us, but otherwise there are no dents or damage. It weighs 4lbs 5oz. The neck measures .810 to .870 at the 1st and 9th frets. It has a medium/slim 60s neck carve that has an oval shape, not flat at the apex like some slim taper necks feel. The guitar sounds fantastic with a classic tone full of warmth and overtones, yet still good clarity. It’s an excellent example, one of the finer modern Gibson acoustics we’ve had.
