PLANET EARTH Hand Dyed on Buttery Soft DK - Block Variegated Yarn

Inspired by the recent Artemis mission and the photos of our beautiful planet from far away, I decided to make this colorway. Once again I am struck by how stunning our home is! It's a special kind of block variegated colorway known as a palindrome with the beautiful blue on both edges, the desert tones just inside those, and the green from all the trees in the middle. There's a bit of white here and there for the clouds. This colorway would work well for planned pooling. YARN BASE I dyed it on my Buttery Soft DK base, which is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra-soft 19.5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name! Please note that this is NOT a superwash yarn. That means it can felt with agitation and changes in temperature, so it should be washed by hand in cool water. On the other hand, it can be fulled.
