Access Virus B/C Aftermarket Lower Voltage PSU 9V 2.0A

For sale: 9V 2.0A power supply for the Access Virus B and C series synthesizers. The Virus B and C originally shipped with 12V power supplies. However, after extensive long-term testing, we have decided to begin shipping our restored B and C units with quality 9V 2.0A power supplies instead. What we and others have observed is that the power regulator heatsink on the B and C series is undersized for long periods of heavy operation when using the original 12V specification. Under sustained load, the regulator and heatsink can become extremely hot during normal operation. In our experience, moving to a quality 9V 2.0A supply significantly reduces regulator heat while maintaining stable operation. We have been running one of our studio Virus B units on this configuration for months without issue. And FYI - These pass the wiggle test ;) Your unit will not power cycle if the cable gets bumped during operation.
