Single Cask Edition – 2011 Palo Cortado

Alc/Vol: 54.2% Limited Edition UK exclusive. The newest expression in our Single Cask Edition range is a Palo Cortado sherry cask distilled in 2011, making it 15 years old. Palo Cortado is one of the rarest sherry variations, it starts life as a Fino or Amontillado would but then begins to oxidise as an Oloroso would, creating a drier richer style. Our Single Cask Edition perfectly captures the richness of the unusual sherry style with layers of roasted coffee and buttercream rounded by a subtle oak warmth. Inviting aromas of almond, molasses, honeyed apricot and bright orange zest marry perfectly with creamy and softly spiced flavour notes on the palette, leading to a finish that is both dry and gently sweet. Limited to just 322 bottles. Non-chill filtered and natural colour.
