The Watch This vintage Breitling Navitimer from 1968 is a well-worn yet attractive example of an iconic pilot’s chronograph, with a gold-plated case and a striking black dial. Renowned for its intricate slide rule bezel and powered by the dependable Venus 178 manual wind chronograph movement this model was originally designed for aviation professionals. The combination of the chronograph's timing function and the logarithmic scales allowed pilots to perform relevant calculations such as rate of fuel consumption or conversion from imperial to metric units. The rich, gloss black dial features contrasting 'reverse Panda' sub-dials and beautiful gold text, perfectly co-ordinating with the outer slide rule's warm ivory and three little splashes of red.
