Standard Frame Rates: The Moviecam SL typically operates at 24 fps (standard for cinema) or 25 fps (standard for PAL television). Flicker Control (Hz Settings): To avoid flickering, especially with HMI or LED lights, the camera's electronic video assist system (or mechanical shutter) needs adjustment. While specific 35mm shutters work at 180 or 144 degrees, modern digital adjustments (often used with Video Assist) allow fine-tuning. Frequency Range: Modern LED lights often require setting the camera to operate without flicker in the 60-80 Hz range. Video Sync/Phase: The Moviecam SL/Compact system allows phase adjustment from 0–360 degrees to sync the video assist with the camera's main shutter, preventing dark bands on the monitor.
