During the years Rose and her husband, Marius, owned two of Western Australia’s best-known bead shops in Broome and Margaret River, she had access to an extraordinary array of materials sourced from around the world - from tribal beads and stones from Afghanistan and Nepal to handmade African beads, exotic finds from India and Indonesia, and rare, centuries-old Venetian trade beads. Each piece Rose creates is unique - a genuine one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting her own artistic vision and the influences of her Indigenous Canadian roots, her travels and the many fascinating people she met through the couple’s shops.
