Roaming freely through the montados, where it feeds mainly on acorns, the Alentejano pig, an indigenous Portuguese breed, is the only surviving breed of grazing pigs in Europe. Through the way it shapes the landscape and helps preserve the region’s Mediterranean woodland, it is part of the heritage of the Alentejo. It is also a gastronomic treasure and an invitation to pleasure. By associating it with this wine, we bring together two of the Alentejo’s greatest symbols at the table. Ageing: Aged for 12 months in new and used American oak barrels. Storage: Store the bottle horizontally.
