COMING Q1 2027 Weighing just 0.47 kg and machined from magnesium, the new .47 Magnum takes our proven approach to PYXIS cage design even further—combining an even more robust design with significantly lower weight and a host of new features. Despite being approximately 2mm thicker overall than our Full Metal Jacket, the .47 Magnum is nearly 200g lighter, thanks to its magnesium construction and refinements throughout the design. And while the weight has gone down, we've added more than before: Built-in NATO top rail Removable/interchangeable side plates (details below) More secure mounting to the PYXIS body Universal open-face design (compatible with L/EF/PL PYXIS) Full Poco/Mofage compatibility Sits flat with our direct-to-cage 15mm rods attached Redesigned backplate Improved mounting for the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor Interchangeable Side Plates The .47 Magnum features a removable, interchangeable side plate. Use one of our purpose-built XLCS plates, or install a plate that replicates the native side of the PYXIS body—maintaining compatibility with Blackmagic's original side plate as well as third-party PYXIS accessories. This also gives us the ability to develop additional side-plate options for different rigging needs in the future. Custom colors may also be available.
