Over the course of the workshop, Toni will guide you step by step through creating a beautiful fresh Christmas door wreath, starting with a traditional mossed frame before adding layers of seasonal foliage and finishing with your choice from our huge selection of decorations. Whether you’re dreaming of something traditional and rustic, natural and elegant or gloriously over-the-top and sparkly, we’ll give you everything you need to make your wreath completely your own. And don’t worry if you’ve never made a wreath before – complete beginners are very welcome! 🌿 Build Your Wreath From Scratch We’ll begin with a 12-inch wreath frame, showing you how to moss your base before gradually building up layers of beautiful fresh foliage. Once finished, your wreath will usually measure approximately 16–20 inches, depending on just how wild you decide to go with your greenery! During the workshop, you’ll learn how to: 🌿 Moss and prepare a traditional wreath frame ✂️ Trim and prepare different varieties of foliage 🎄 Arrange and secure your greenery to create a lovely full shape 🌱 Combine different textures, colours and leaf shapes 🍊 Position and secure your decorations 🎀 Create the perfect finishing bow ✨ Balance your design for a professional-looking finish We’ll demonstrate everything as we go, so there’s no need to have any previous floristry or wreath-making experience. 🎀 Now for the Really Fun Bit… Once your wreath is looking beautifully green and full, it’s time to decorate! And this is where everyone’s wreath starts to look completely different. We’ll bring along a huge selection of festive decorations for you to choose from, which may include: 🍊 Dried orange slices 🌲 Pine cones 🤎 Cinnamon stick bundles ⭐ Stars and wooden decorations 🪵 Beech bark shapes 🪶 Feathers 🔔 Bells ✨ Sparkling and festive embellishments 🎀 A fabulous selection of ribbons Go beautifully natural with oranges, cinnamon and cones, keep things elegant and understated or embrace Christmas and add all the sparkle. There are no wreath-making police here. 😉 We’ll show you the techniques – you create the wreath that belongs on your door. 🌲 Beautiful Fresh Seasonal Foliage We’ll have a lovely selection of fresh seasonal greenery, including varieties such as spruce, ivy and eucalyptus, alongside other foliage depending on what’s looking its best at the time. We use UK-grown foliage wherever possible, sourcing locally when we can. Combining different greenery is one of the secrets to creating a really beautiful wreath, and we’ll show you how to layer textures and shades so that your finished design looks wonderfully full and luxurious.
