This adapter allows you to bolt a Gen-3 Ecotec engine to GM manual or automatic transmissions. There may be other offerings of this product on the market, but we are working hard to make ours the best. There are additional transmission options in the works for this engine application as well. These engines are very versatile and can be found in many iterations to meet your power goals and needs. This is why Performance Adapters find it important to have just as wide of an offering on which transmission you'd like to mate it with. No Cutting or Bellhousing Mods Required – Retains the full Chevy bellhousing for a true bolt-on installation. Starter Included – Off the shelf and easily replaceable if the situation ever arises All Hardware Included – High-grade bolts and fasteners for a complete, hassle-free install. Crank Adapter sizing – Perfect size to accept a standard 1.704 O.D. small block Chevy pilot bushing or bearing (SKF #6302-VSP43) for manual transmission applications. For an automatic transmission application, you must use a 168-tooth neutral balance small block Chevy flexplate (Pioneer part #FRA-100 or equivalent). For a manual transmission application, you must use a 168-tooth neutral balance small block Chevy flywheel (Pioneer part #FW-100 or equivalent).
